In March of 2017, Kipling Wilson launched Kipling Films, Inc. Kipling Films is an innovative and groundbreaking full-service production company. We specialize in producing unscripted, alternative television programming. Before creating content under his banner, Kipling worked in the development departments of Warner Bros., HBO Entertainment, 3 Ball Entertainment, and Entertainment One.
Kipling is a development executive and executive producer with over ten years of experience. He began his career on the east coast as a television news producer and honed his research, writing, and technical skills while on the job. Kipling enjoyed working in the media, but higher aspirations of producing reality programming led him away from the newsroom. Inspired by creative opportunities in the unscripted world, he packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles.
In a short amount of time, the former journalist secured jobs working in production with Mark Burnett Productions, Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions, and Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Soon after, Kipling gained acceptance into the Agent Trainee Program at APA Talent Agency in Beverly Hills. While working in the Alternative and Factual Programming Department, he became intrigued with the development process of unscripted television.
In the following years, Kipling made the transition into development and worked with some of the most talented and accomplished television producers and creative executives. These opportunities were a game changer for his career. However, the founder of Kipling Films wanted ownership and creative control over the projects he developed and produced. Kipling is insightful and has unique access to resources due to his relationships with network executives, talent agents, and production staff. Truly empowered with a wealth of knowledge and boundless creativity, the President & CEO of Kipling Films opened his production company.
Kipling Wilson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (Broadcast Production) from North Carolina A&T State University.
